Edge of Liberty Craft Fair - May 15, 2022

2022-05-10

Spring is in the air! Perfect time to pick up some fresh herbs, do some shopping, and take a lovely walk through nature to celebrate life. The Edge of Liberty is always changing year to year and season to season and spring is a wonderful time to come back to visit us.

This is our first Craft Fair for the 2022 season and we need you to make this year our best year yet! This is a great opportunity to support your entrepreneurial neighbors and invest in our community. Tell your friends to meet you here. Bring a lunch and enjoy our picnic tables near the pond where ducks, geese, sandhill cranes, and eagles have been lunching all spring. Tour our perennial pollinator garden, our freshly planted market garden, and see what your neighbors have done with their plots so far in our community garden.

Since the Porter County Master Gardener's Garden Walk last year, thousands of people have walked through our gardens and shopped local with our home-based art and craft vendors. We've loved meeting all of you and hope to see you again this year. We have some new vendors this year with amazing products to create happiness in your home. Come celebrate life with us!

Where are you? We're conveniently located on old 49 (Calumet) a mile north of Valparaiso and a mile south of the drive-in theater, right on the edge of Liberty Township.

What crafts will be available? Click the link to see a slideshow of products available at this and prior events. Committed vendors for this event and information about their products are detailed below with links to their personal pages.

All vendors either accept credit cards personally, or can accept payments through our "Pay With Paypal" button on our home page, but would prefer cash.

About Us

The Edge of Liberty is a four acre farm that we purchased because the neighborhoods surrounding it wanted to preserve the rural feeling of Liberty Township and stop it from being developed. Since it was a community effort to keep it rural, we want the community to get a chance to enjoy it...together!

Events and services at The Edge of Liberty are centered around creating and maintaining a sense of community and preserving that hometown rural feeling that made us all fall in love with this area. In addition to the community garden that we started last season, we're providing a monthly outlet for members of the community to sell their handmade goods and to give you an opportunity to share good times with friends and neighbors.

Help us celebrate life and create happiness! Join us on May 15!
