Open Farm - July 25

2021-07-21

Crafts! Produce! Friends! Nature!

Where are you?

The monthly events at The Edge of Liberty are so very important to us personally as we want to create a greater sense of community in Liberty Township and surrounding areas. We want to provide an outlet for members of the community to sell their handmade goods and share good times in smaller settings than larger county-wide events. This world needs that sort of person-to-person interaction in more local settings.

Our Open Farm events are for all of our neighbors to come enjoy some sunshine with friends and family. Take a walk through nature and see what's going on in our Community Garden. Walk our wooded trails and wonder at native species and see how we're doing in the battle against invasives. See how our "wall of sunflowers" and "corn field" are doing. See what is thriving in our market garden and pollinator garden. Have a picnic lunch at one of our pond-side picnic tables. Watch the slow re-birth of an ecosystem where once there was just an overgrown abandoned farm with depleted soil.

What a perfect place to wonder at God's creation on your way home from church. We'll be hosting guided walking tours of the property every 30 minutes.

This month is super special as we're going to have multiple "vendors" selling handmade items. These are your neighbors who are making wonderful products to share. All vendors either accept credit cards personally, or can accept payments through our "Pay With Paypal" button on our home page, but would prefer cash.
