Bring your group for a private tour

Private Tours at The Edge of Liberty

We love this community and we love being good stewards of the land.  We want to share our passion and knowledge with your group on your schedule.

Consider taking your class on a field trip, or getting your community group out of the church basement and into the sunshine to celebrate life and create happiness with us.

Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at tours@edge-of-liberty.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

We suggest a modest donation of $2 per person - just the right price for a small daycare, school, or church group to enjoy some time in the sun and learn a little without breaking the budget.

  • History of the property, "the sign", and our commitment to the community and sustainability
  • Biomimicry and the Back to Eden gardening method; soil health concepts
  • Introduction to various categories of cultivated plants: nightshades, alliums/lilies, brassicas/cole crops, roots, greens, legumes, herbs, cucurbits, and fruits
  • Solar well pump, irrigation, water runoff management
  • Bin composting, sheet composting
  • Discussion of local wildlife and living in harmony with them
  • Native and invasive species

We have three formal gardens and a little over two miles of walking trails, so it takes about an hour to see the whole thing.  If your group needs more time on the property, either for a picnic lunch, or to spend extra time on a specific area of learning, just book consecutive hours so that we'll be available for the entire time you've allotted for your group visit.

If you would like more than hour to organize your crew or give them time for self exploration of the property, just book consecutive hours.

Suggested donation for additional hours is $1 per person.

Go to our home page and scroll down to "Online Appointments."  Under "Customers" category there is an option to book a 1 hour appointment for "Guided Tour of Our Farm." Press the "Book" button to see what days and times are available. Or you can just click here.

We are open to the public on Sundays from 9 am to 3 pm, mid-May through October, so you can most certainly stop by during one of our published events.  If this time is not good for you, set up a tour for yourself to make sure the venue is appropriate for your group.  Or you can just click here.
