There's no better way to celebrate life and create happiness than to nourish the body with delicious food and to nourish the soul with a beautiful location to eat it.
We provide a highly visible, prominent location for trucks on Sundays throughout the summer and a wonderful location for their followers and fans.
We do not charge for space at our events
We see somewhere between thirty and eighty cars in our parking lot during our Sunday events, and this has been increasing over time with improved weather, marketing efforts, signage, and customer recommendations. We are growing and want to partner with other local entrepreneurs to grow our businesses together.
When you reserve a date on our home page under Online Appointments, you are guaranteed to be the only food truck at the event. We do not want to dilute your business with other options. We may at some point expand reservations to "Savory" vs "Sweet" vendors depending on customer demand and menu choices provided by our partners.
We know a lot of food trucks prefer guaranteed traffic or deposit to show up to a private event. We are a not for profit, community-focused private business and we simply do not have the funds to do that.
What we do have is a great location and a great day of the week. We're between Valparaiso and four different churches on old IN-49 and county road 600N with a well-loved 100+ year old Bible verse sign on the corner ...and we're open on Sundays.
We do a pretty good job of on-line marketing and will add you to this page with links to your website and Facebook page to help your search engine presence. If you book early enough, we can send out a mailing to our website subscribers and will post to our 1000+ Facebook fans.
We can also provide you access to fresh ingredients in season during the event.
Go to our home page and scroll down to "Online Appointments." Under "Partners" category there is an option to book a 6 hour appointment as "Featured Food Truck." Press the "Book" button to see what Sundays are still available. Or you can just click here.
Set up can start as early as 9 am on your scheduled date. We encourage early set up and require that you be ready to open at 10 am on farm-stand-only days and 9:30 on craft fair days.
We are open to the public on Sundays from 10 am to 4 pm, May through October, so you can most certainly stop by during one of our published events. If this time is not good for you, we've made it convenient for you to set up an appointment for a private tour just below the reservation link. Or you can just click here.
To give your truck the highest visibility, trucks are normally parked along Calumet Avenue just outside the parking lot in a wood chipped area. You can also choose to park more centrally to the craft booths between the tent area and the community garden. Although this is not as visible from the road, there are benches, picnic tables, and trash cans in the shade nearby for your customers. On farm stand days, set up can occur any time after 9 am with opening at 10 am. On craft fair days, setup can start after 8 am and we ask that our featured food truck be ready to serve before 9:15 am to give our craft vendors and their helpers time to purchase items from you before the customers arrive. Farm stand is open until 4 pm, craft vendors are scheduled through 2 pm.
